Artwork

It is the responsibility of the customer to include artwork in print ready condition. All Images, Artwork, Text Files and Logos that are required to reproduce the printed material must be included.

File Types

The Following file types can be accepted (almost application used in design can produce such files. Remember to embed all type and images.): Jpg, Tiff, PNG, EPS, PDF Adobe Photoshop, Quark Express, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Page Maker, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Word, Word Perfect. Preferred Files: Flattened PDF’s , EPS or PSD

Bleeds And Multipages

Remember If an image bleeds of the edges of printed material it is important that you allow at least 3 mm of image to be trimmed. It is also advisable that type (especially small type) is kept at least 3mm from the edge to be trimmed.

Copyright

The customer shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary authorities and consents to reproduce pictures, artwork, photographs, copyright text and/or any other reproducible materials prior to instructing Cards in Colour to reproduce the same. The customer shall indemnify and hold the Cards in Colour and its representatives harmless against all claims, demands, actions, costs, expenses (including but not limited to legal costs and disbursements), losses and damages arising from or suffered or incurred by reason of any claim (including but not limited to the defense of such claim) that the reproduction of the Materials by Cards in Colours infringes the intellectual property or other rights of any third party or misuses the confidential information of a third party..

Unacceptable Material

Cards in Colour reserve the right to refuse any printing orders at their discretion. We will refuse any orders that in our judgment are Pornographic, Decimator, Racist or Defamatory.

Colour Reproduction

By its very nature the 4 Colour Process method that we use to print makes it impossible to reproduce colours precisely and consistently. It is important therefore that if exact colour reproduction is required that an alternative printing process be chosen.

Delivery Times

We aim to print and dispatch all orders within 5 working days from approval of artwork. But we cannot guarantee this. If a job must be produced and dispatched by a particular date then this must be specified at time of order and confirmed by CARDS IN COLOUR at the proofing stage that we can dispatch the printed material on the specified date.

Claims

Advice of damage, delay or partial loss of goods in transit or of non-delivery must be given in writing to Cards in Colour and the carrier within three clear days of delivery (or, in the case of non-delivery within 28 days of dispatch of the goods) and any claim in respect thereof must be made in writing to Cards in Colour and the carrier within seven clear days of delivery (or, in the case of non-delivery, within 42 days of dispatch). All other claims must be made in writing to Cards in Colour within 28 days of delivery. Cards in Colour shall not be liable in respect of any claim unless the aforementioned requirements have been complied with except in any particular case where the customer proves that (i) it was not possible to comply with the requirements and (ii) advice (where required) was given and the claim made as soon as reasonably possible.
